Update on our BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Thank you to everyone who has made a donation to AMREF following our Radio 4 appeal.

AMREF's maternal health ambassador Jumoké Fashola presenteted a BBC Radio 4 appeal on behalf of AMREF on Sunday 12th September. The focus of the appeal was the importance of training midwives to prevent maternal deaths in childbirth, particularly for women in remote communities.
Jumoké is an award-winning broadcaster and jazz singer who currently presents BBC London’s weekly faith and ethics programme, and has also presented the presented the BBC Symphony Orchestra’s ‘A Taste of Africa’ programme celebrating the music and culture of Africa.
The Radio 4 Appeal was a great opportunity for AMREF to raise awareness of the issues affecting marginalised communities in Africa to an extremely wide audience. We really appreciate your generosity and have loved hearing your stories about why our appeal on maternal health meant a lot to you.
We will let you know the final amount raised when we've recieved all the donations. If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, you can call us on 0207 269 5520 or donate online.
Thanks again for helping us to save the lives of mothers in Africa and a big thank you to the wonderful Jumoké for presenting our appeal as well!
