Berlin Marathon

Berlin Marathon

26 September 2010

The Berlin Marathon attracts a field of more than 40,000 athletes, who have been flocking to run the 26.2 mile course every year since 1974.

Its popularity is unsurprising; the marathon’s exciting route starts and finishes near the Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin's most famous landmarks, whilst the flat and fast nature of the course makes it ideal for athletes seeking a personal best.

AMREF’s Golden Bond scheme

If you don’t manage to secure a place through the Ballot, you may be allocated an AMREF Golden Bond place if you apply for one. We ask our Golden Bond runners to pay a deposit of £200 and raise a minimum of £1,000.

Support from AMREF

In the run up to the Marathon, AMREF will provide as much assistance and support to you as possible, encouraging you every step of the way. Your fundraising pack will include everything you need to kick off your fundraising and you will also get your very own personalised running vest!
