World Health Worker Week 2016

Across Africa, we know the difference that health workers make. In April we celebrated the amazing work they do, whilst raising awareness of the challenges they face every day.

#SaveMothersDay

Every 3 minutes a new mother in Africa dies. With basic healthcare we all take for granted, many more would survive. Our global campaign stands in solidarity with Mothers in Africa, whilst celebrating our own, all over the world.

The world needs Midwives now more than ever

As we celebrate International Day of the Midwife, we know that more midwives are needed.

That's why Amref Health Africa is focused on training midwives and making childbirth and pregnancy safer for women across sub-Saharan Africa.

You can help us train more midwives and reach more women across sub-Saharan Africa by supporting our work.

Let`s make children a priority

On International Children’s Day, join Amref Health Africa in celebrating the importance of children worldwide.

Children are the future; that’s why we have made child health one of our priorities. If we are to bring about lasting health change in Africa, then we must focus on the youngest generation.
