World Health Worker Week 2016

Across Africa, we know the difference that health workers make. In April we celebrated the amazing work they do, whilst raising awareness of the challenges they face every day. 


Every 3 minutes a new mother in Africa dies. With basic healthcare we all take for granted, many more would survive. Our global campaign stands in solidarity with Mothers in Africa, whilst celebrating our own, all over the world.

Amref Health Africa to train 8,000 midwives in campaign to improve maternal health

Amref Health Africa is targeting to train at least 8,000 midwives in the next three years in a move aimed at improving maternal health for at least four million women across the continent every year.

On International Children’s Day, join us in celebrating children worldwide.
Children are the future; that’s why we have made child health one of our priorities. If we are to bring about lasting health change in Africa, then we must focus on the youngest generation.
